Action Planning Template



Overresprentation of African American students in Special Education
After meeting with my site supervisor I started talking staff members about selected students I wanted to do research on. I think this research plan will benefit the school and the district to discover different intervention for these students.

  1. What brought you to the conclusion that there is an over representaion of African American students and will your study include other races as a comparison. What type of interventions will you use and what are the interventions for. I am assuming that the inervention is to prevent so many Africn American students from being labeled as Special Ed.

    1. I teach Special Education inclusion class and none of them are African American. But a number of these are in CBSE classes as Learning Disable and ED, but never been release out of the program. At the high school level.
      My concern is at the high school level because I see other group have success moving out of the program.

  2. Your project topic is very interesting. It sounds like a dissertation because it is such a broad topic. It might be helpful to narrow it down and focus on one grade level or subject. Also, finding interventions through literature reviews and applying one or two of them to determine their effectiveness. I am very interested in learning from you findings. Good Luck :)
